The pitching duo of Colin Ware and Jared Hasik continued to deliver for the Redskins Tuesday in a double header with Scott City.

The two pitchers have carried the load so far for Liberal, and each earned a win to push the Redskins to a 6-4 record midway through the season.

Collin Ware started Game 1 for the Redskins and only allowed two hits in five innings in the run-rule shortened game.

The Redskin offense  took advantage of Scot City walks and errors to run up big numbers early.

Liberal jumped out to a 6-0 lead after the first inning and added six more in the second to take a commanding 12-0 lead.

The Redskins added another run in the third and two more in the fourth.

Scott City scored a run in the top of the fourth, and Ware was able to keep the Beavers scoreless in the top of the fifth for the 15-1 win.

Ware struck out six.

Liberal only had seven hits, but the Beavers committed seven errors. Liberal had no miscues in the win.

Tim Fitzgerald went 2-for-3 from the plate with two RBIs and scored a run.

Cristian Erives also went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and scored twice.

In Game 2, Hasik took the mound and pitched a shutout, only allowing three hits in seven innings for the 8-0 win.

Scott City played better defense and cut their errors from seven in the first game to only four in the second.

The Redskins committed only one error.

While Hasik dominated on the mound, the Redskins again took advantage of the four Scott City mistakes to go along with five hits to score eight runs.

Liberal jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning and added two more in the third.

The Redskins added another run in the fourth, two more in the fifth and another in the sixth for an 8-0 lead.

Hasik kept the Beavers off the board in the seventh to complete the shutout. He pitched all seven innings and only gave up three hits and two walks and struck out 15.

Erives led the Redskins with a two-RBI double and scored twice.

Hasik helped his cause with a double and scored three times.

Liberal (6-4) will host Guymon Monday.
