Bernadean “Mema” Cotter, 78, died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at the Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born March 12, 1931, to Bernard and Irma (All) Kraber north of Rolla.
She married Bob Cotter Aug. 11, 1990, in Liberal. He survives.
She retired from the State of Kansas in 1993 as port of entry inspector. She had worked for several years as clerk for the El Rancho Motel in Elkhart.
She enjoyed working in her garden and flower bed. She was a seamstress, sewing for her children and friends.
Other Survivors include three children: Dixie Lee and husband, Tom Stockman, Topeka, Jay D. Payne, Elkhart, and Charla and husband, Jerry Webb, Jace and Ben, Goodwell, Okla.; two brothers, John Kraber and wife, Sharon, Guymon, and Earl Kraber and wife, Zelda, Newton; three sisters, Irma Lee and husband, Wayne Hoskinson, Rolla, Jean and husband, Gary, Rolla, Alice and husband, Bob Hill, Tyrone, Okla.; grand niece, Caley Caudell, Edmond, Okla.; and sisters-in-law, Margie and husband, Harold Hoffman, Buffalo, Okla., Margaret and husband, Steve Kinney, Beaver, Okla., and Glenda and husband, Paul Carr, Milpitas, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Noah Akers, brother and sister-in-law, Travis and Earleen Boston, Eldon Cotter, Wiley Cotter, and Vernon Cotter.
o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Rolla with Pastor Sandy Ferguson and Randy Bane presiding.
Burial will follow at the Rolla Cemetery.
