• Special to the Leader & Times

Cinco de Mayo Parade will be at 1 p.m. Saturday.

The 11th Annual Cinco De Mayo Parade will be different this year. Instead of being on Kansas Avenue, this year it will be on Western Avenue and end at the Seward County Fair Grounds in time to kick off the 2014 Liberal Rodeo Fiesta featuring a Little Britches Rodeo.

The rodeo is slated to go from 2 to 8 p.m. and there is already a full slate of entries.

The parade will start at 1 p.m. Saturday with line up at the Church of Christ parking lot at 215 S. Western Ave., and proceed north on Western Avenue to end at the Seward County Fair Grounds.

Lineup will be at 12:30 p.m.

Parade entries are free. Prizes for the float competition will be $200 for 1st place, $100 for 2nd place and  $50 for 3rd place.

Call 624-3855  for more  information. Parade forms may be mailed to Cinco de Mayo Committee, PO Box 1112, Liberal, KS 67905.
