PLAINS — The Southwestern Heights tennis team took both doubles titles and the Meade Buffaloes took both singles titles at the Southwestern Heights Invitational.
The event originally scheduled for today was moved to Monday, and lost a pair of teams that normally are part of the event, leaving just three teams to compete.
Dalton Wiens won the No.1 singles title with an 8-3 win over Ulysses' competitor, and an 8-5 win over Dalton Holmes of Southwestern Heights.
Holmes won his other match 8-5 to finish second.
Ashton Lee and Richard Navarette of Heights defeated Ryan Friesen and Garrett Blehm of Meade, 8-5, then took down Ulysses, 8-4 to claim the No.1 doubles title.
Noah Martin of Meade defeated Jordan Scott of Heights 8-4 and defeated a Ulysses competitor 8-1 to win No.2 doubles. Scott won his other match 8-1 to finish second.
Austin Metcalf and Hugo Reveles of Heights defeated Aaron Gleason and Blake Reimer of Meade 8-2, and defeated Ulysses 8-4 to claim the No.2 doubles title. Gleason and Reimer defeated Ulysses 8-2 to finish second.
Heights and Meade will travel to Regionals at Cimarron this Friday and Saturday.
