Shelley Ann Ballard, 55, died Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
Shelley was born Sept. 2, 1958, to Ray and Beverly Yowell Novinger in Meade.
She married Steven Ballard Oct. 19, 1996, in Liberal. He survives.
She attended school at Southwestern Heights.
In 1994, she received her CNA from Seward County Community College in Liberal. She moved to Broken Arrow and continued her nursing education.
She worked at Wheatridge Park Care Center.
She attended the Tyrone Baptist Church, enjoyed animals and the cows, her weiner dogs and knitting.
Other survivors include her son, Eric Bohannan, Oklahoma City; daughter, Amy Bohannan, Oklahoma City; stepdaughter, Steffanie Franklin, Fort Worth, Texas; three brothers: Mike Novinger, Garden City, Carl and wife, Annette Novinger, Broken Arrow, Okla., and Brian and wife, Debra Novinger, Omaha, Ark.; sister, Peggy and husband, Rob Glover, Liberal; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
• Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Tyrone Baptist Church.
Burial will be at the Tyrone Cemetery.
