Laura Veltri and Monica Correll, Liberal Letter Carriers, are shown with some of the 3,228 lbs. of food collected during the 2014 Post Office Food Drive on May 10. The shelves at the Homecare Food Cupboard at the First Presbyterian Church were pretty bare before the drive. “We depend on the Stamp Out Hunger Post Office food drive – it is the largest single food donation we receive,” said Susan Roberts, executive director of HomeCare, which operates the Liberal Food Cupboard. “Our supplies were seriously depleted, so this will be a big help.” This is 22nd anniversary of the nation’s largest food drive.
