Marceille Stansberry, 100, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Pioneer Manor in Hugoton.

She was born March 21, 1914 to Charles and Mary (Morris) Lowry in Oxford.

She married John Wesley "JW" Stansberry on Dec. 22, 1934 in Wichita. He preceded her in death Feb. 2, 2004.

She attended Oxford High School in Oxford where she was active in Choir and Basketball.

She managed the Ranch Motel in Liberal for 14 years before retiring in 1977.

She enjoyed sewing, traveling, gardening, crossword puzzles, playing cards, her grandchildren and spending time in Colorado.

She was a member of Liberal Trail Riders, 4H Leader for the Eager Beaver 4H Club of Liberal.

She was also recognized by the Liberal Chamber of Commerce in 2013 as a resident of Liberal for 70 years.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Liberal.

Survivors include son, Bruce Stansberry and wife Dixie, Freedom, Okla.; daughters, Nedra Arnett and husband Kevin, Liberal, and Shona Blakeley and husband Kim, Turpin, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Nada Jo Stoops; grandson, John Wayne Dulaney; great-great-grandson, Jaxxon Guy Arnett; and two sisters.

• Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday May, 17th at the First Baptist Church of Liberal with Pastor David Bagwell presiding.

Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call today from 12 to 8 p.m. at Miller Mortuary with the family present to receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
