Special to the Leader & Times
Yucca Ridge Golf Club announced its annual night golf tournament has been scheduled for Saturday.
“This ‘GloBall’ night tournament has turned out to be one of the most popular events we have at Yucca Ridge,” Superintendent Trent Kitch said.
The two-person scramble tournament will start with the first nine holes played in the early evening before the sun sets. It will be followed by a barbecue dinner. While the food settles and darkness falls, some skill and challenge practice is planned at the practice green. The second nine holes are played after dark with glowing golf balls and lighted cups and lighted flag sticks.

Fathers Golf Free at Yucca Ridge Sunday
Are you trying to think of a special treat for Dad on Sunday? How about an afternoon of golf at Yucca Ridge?
“For several years we have let fathers golf free on Father’s Day with a paid green fee and cart rental by a relative,” Kitch said. “This has been a popular outing and a way to let Dad do what he wants to do anyway. Bring Dad out on Sunday.”
Yucca Ridge is a links style public access golf course located 4½ miles north of Liberal on US Highway 83.
