Robert William (Bob) Sallee, 77, died Thursday, June 19, 2014 after a long illness at his home in Liberal.

He was born March 6, 1937 to Clarence Alfred Rufus and Norma Kate Taylor Sallee (Moore) near Forgan, Okla.

He married Lecinda Lee Dilks September 9, 1970 in Las Vegas. She survives.

He did farm work until he entered the construction business in 1954 and became a contractor, plumber and landlord owning Sallee Construction & Remodeling and Sallee Rentals.

Survivors include three sons: Kevin Sallee, Beaver, Okla., Kenneth Sallee, Morris, Ill., and Kelly Sallee and wife, Julie, Liberal; three daughters: Katisha Ware and husband, Todd, Spearman, Texas, Donna Faye Bruce and husband, Doug, Wichita, and Karol LeeAnn Rogers and husband, Will, Wichita; four brothers: Ted Sallee and wife, Pat, Maize, Harold Sallee and wife, Sharon, Liberal, Kenneth Sallee and wife, Mary, Beaver, Okla. and Gary Helsel and wife Janice, Austin, Texas; three sisters: Dorothy Edwards and husband, Audy, El Dorado, Okla., Mary Pittser and husband, Lonnie, Liberal, and Ann Young of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lou Sallee, Liberal; many nieces and nephews; and family friend Elizabeth Garcia, Liberal.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Virginia Haney; daughter, Virginia Kathaleen Sallee; brother, Charles Sallee; and sisters, Lois Pfiefer and Faye Curry.

• Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday June 23, 2014 at the Grant Street Church of Christ in Liberal.

Burial will follow at the Forgan Cemetery in Forgan, Okla.

Friends may call Sunday June 22, 2014 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Miller Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to the Tipton Children's Home in care of Miller Mortuary.
