TURPIN, Okla. – Margaret Ogletree, 85, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Beaver County Hospital in Beaver, Okla.

She was born Jan. 16, 1929, to Earl W. and Cora Lucille (Martz) Scott in Liberal.

She married Leon Elberta Ogletree on Aug. 9, 1946, in Garden City.  He preceded her in death.

She attended Liberal High School.

She worked as a machinist for Beech Aircraft.

She was a member of the Beech Aircraft Employees Club, Turpin Senior Center and the Turpin United Methodist Church.

Her hobbies included quilting, embroidery and jigsaw puzzles.  She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.

Survivors include sons,  Loren Gene Ogletree, Ada, Okla., David Ray Ogletree, Wichita, and Randy Lynn Ogletree and wife, Donna, Bixby, Okla.; daughter, Sherri Riffe and husband, Gary, Turpin; brothers, Earl W. Scott II, Colorado Springs, Colo. and Charles Marion Scott and wife, June, Hemet, Calif.; sisters, Martha Charlene Rokeh and husband, Dennis, Russell, Minn., Ruth Maxine Trimmell, Garden City, Nancy Marie Manley, Peyton, Colo., Marilyn Kay Anderson, Colorado Springs, and Mary Louise Manley and husband, Bob, Ellicott, Colo.; grandchildren,  Stacey (Riffe) Hensley and husband, Shawn, Stephanie (Riffe) Porter and husband, Matt,  Sarah (Riffe) Roberts and husband, Chris,  Randa Ogletree,  Brian Ogletree and wife, Brandy, and Jessica Lauralyn Ogletree; great-grandchildren,  Jacob, Abigail and Hannah Porter, Caden and Rhett Hensley,  and Cale, Chloe and Case Roberts;  and step great-grandchild, Jayleigh Ray Snow.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son,  Marvin Otto Ogletree; daughter, Elberta Ann Ogletree;  daughter-in-law,  Karen Ogletree; brothers,  Gerry Henry Scott and John Ray Scott;  and sister, Minnie May Brune.

• Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Turpin United Methodist Church, with Pastor Todd Bergman presiding.

Burial will be at Independence Cemetery in Turpin, Okla.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Brenneman Funeral Home.

The family will be present to greet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Turpin United Methodist Church or Turpin Senior Center, in care of Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. Second Street, Liberal, KS 67901.
