West’s eighth grade A and B teams knocked off Ulysses in two key road wins.
The B-team won 28-17 and was led by dual threat Junior Mendez and Beau Fick who each scored eight points in the win.
Daniel Dowell added six.
“We got off to a good start and led throughout,” West caoch Eric Olmstead said. “We played some pretty good defense.

The Warrior A-team jumped out to a quick start but had to hold on late for a 39-33 win.

“It was a crazy game,” Olmstead said. “We caused them problems with the man defense, then we got complacent. We relaxed, and they came back on us. But we held on, and we had a good effort.”
