COPELAND – Garold James Unruh, 62, died Friday, March 19, 2010, at Shell Knob, Mo.
He was born Leslie J. and Gertrude J. (Fricke) Unruh June 25, 1947, in Garden City.
He married Joan Loucks Dec. 10, 1967, in Copeland. She survives.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Copleand and served on many committees in the church.
He had been Copeland mayor and served on the Copeland City Council. He was a member of the Lions Club and served on the board of directors of Montezuma State Bank.
Other survivors include his parents; two sons, Jeffrey James Unruh and wife, Sharleen, Copeland, and Kelly Wayne Unruh and wife, Diana, Sublette; one sister, Gina Joy Cash and husband, Terry; four grandchildren, Katelyn Unruh, Makayla Unruh, Bekah Unruh and Mason Unruh; and other nephews, nieces, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Wesley Wayne and Leslie “Rex” Unruh.
o Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at South Gray Junior High in Copeland with Pastor Scharleen Cross presiding.
Burial will be at the Copeland Cemetery.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Haskell County Funeral Home.
