Carlos Rodriguez qualified for the state wrestling tournament as a senior at the 160-pound weight class.

His efforts earned him a first-team All-Western Athletic Conference honors.

Two other Redskins were also recognized as ALL-WAC honorable mentions.

Abedayo Braimah earned the recognition at the 135 pound weight class. Braimah is a sophomore and is expected to return next season.

Sophomore Justin McPhail also earned honorable mention at the 189-pound weight class. McPhail advanced to the final four of his weight class at the state tournament, and he, too, will be returning next season in a quest to become a state champion.
