El Dorado split a double header with Wellington Monday to remain a half game in front of the Bee Jays in the race for the final guaranteed spot in the NBC tournament.

El Dorado only has one game remaining against Derby, and if the Broncos win they are guaranteed the No. 4 position from the Jayhawk League since they hold the tie-breaker against the Bee Jays.

To earn the fourth place spot, the Bee Jays will have to win both remaining games against Dodge City tonight and Wednesday and have Derby defeat the Broncos tonight.

The NBC World Series will begin Friday, but the field has not been set.
