By Jerry Harding, of Liberal

I am endorsing Shannon Francis for State Representative, 125th District. It is very important that everyone votes in the primary election. This election will decide who represents us in Topeka.

I have known Shannon for more than 25 years, both as a friend and a business partner. I am making my decision based upon three reasons; passion, character and accomplishment.

Shannon commits with passion. He never does it halfway. As a businesss partner, O know before we commit to a project, he has taken the time to study it and recognize the upside and downside of a decision. He is not afraid of change or uncertainty. He is not afraid to change his mind if new information arises. He is not afraid to stick to his guns when it’s the right thing to do.

Shannon has character. He is fair and honest. He is compassionate. He always tries to do the right thing. He is trusted by his employees, friends and business partners.

Shannon has a history of accomplishment. He will get something done in Topeka. As a county commissioner, he held down property taxes, created new jobs and modernized the budget process. He was President of the Kansas Association of Counties. He has built more than 90 homes to address our housing shortage. He has started new small businesses.

I am voting for Shannon Francis because he will make a difference, and I trust him. Please join me in this very important decision for tour community.
