Obituary

 

HUGOTON – William (Bill) Howard Sutcliffe, 72, died Thursday, August 7, 2014 at his residence.

He was born July 5, 1942 to William Howard Sr. and Helen  Muriel (Jones) Sutcliffe in Flagstaff, Ariz.

Upon graduating from Flagstaff High School and attending college for a year and half at Northern Arizona University, he joined the U.S. Navy, where he served in the Pacific at the beginning of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include sister, Julia Miller and husband, Martin; nieces, Frances Miller and Dorothy Mill and husband, James Davidson; grand-niece, Amaya; grand-nephew, Rowan; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded death by his parents; son, William Howard Sutcliffe III (Trey); and sister, Callia Aman.

• Memorial services will be Friday, August 15, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Hugoton with Pastor Heath Kelley presiding.

Burial will be in the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton.

Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church.  Memorials may be mailed to Paul's Funeral Home, PO Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.

Friends may call Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
