Obituary

 

HUGOTON – Floyd Edward Gillespie, 92, died Saturday, August 10, 2014 at Pioneer Manor in Hugoton.

He was born July 21, 1922 to Roy and Grace (Teeter) Gillespie in Stevens County.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge of Hugoton.

He was a farmer.

Survivors include sons, Milton Gillespie and wife ,Eileen, Hugoton, and Brent Gillespie and wife, Sara, Turner; three granddaughters: Erin Curtis and husband Daniel,  Betty Gillespie and Ellen Gillespie; great-grandson, Noalm Curtis; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Gillespie in 2003; sister, Helen Marie Curtis; and brother, Glen Gillespie.

• Funeral services will be on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 2 p.m. at United Methodist Church in Hugoton with the Rev. Jo Mead presiding.

Burial will be in the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton.

Memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Church. Memorials may be mailed to Paul's Funeral Home, PO Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.

Friends may call Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
