HUGOTON – Betty Jean Fellers, 82, died Saturday, August 24, 2014, at Regent Park Healthcare in Wichita.
She was born Nov. 1, 1931 to James R. and Ruth Jean (Henderson) Poteet Sr. in Paola.
She married Ray Owens July 25, 1948. They later divorced.
She married John Rollin Fellers Nov. 14, 1965 in Moscow.
She graduated from Moscow High School in 1949.
She enjoyed her family and friends.
She loved quilting and genealogy.
She enjoyed bowling, traveling, cooking and baking.
She was member of the Moscow Baptist Church, Moscow and Ladies Auxiliary in Hugoton.
Survivors include sons, Randy Owens and wife, Donnell, Belton, Mo., and Mike Owens and wife, Nancy, Moscow, Kansas; daughter, Joyce Fellers and wife Janice, Wichita; brother, James (Sonny) R. Poteet, Liberal; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Glenys Poteet.
• Funeral services will be Friday, August 29, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Moscow Baptist Church in Moscow with Pastor Larry Bradford presiding.
Burial will be at the Moscow Cemetery.
Friends may call tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
