L&T staff report

The Lady Redskin junior varsity tennis team took fourth out of 10 teams, and all competitors had a winning record at Dodge City Thursday.

No. 11 singles player, freshman Nikki Gill, took third in her first tournament with a 4-1 record.

No. 2 singles player Cassandra San Luis took fifth at 3-2.

No. 1 doubles Alexandra Loya and Jasmine Murillo finished tied for first place in pool play, but with the tie breaker rules wound up playing for fifth and winning that match to go 4-1 on the day. They were the only team to beat the first place team from Scott City.

No. 2 doubles Ana Garcia and Ana Gonzales went 3-2 and finished fifth.
