MILDRED B. BINDLEY
MONTEZUMA – Mildred “Millie” B. Bindley, 99, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at Bethel Home Inc. in Montezuma.
She was born Nov. 15, 1909, to John Franklin and Stella Mae (Brucker) Oldfield in McPherson County near Canton.
She married Winfred “Win” Earl Bindley Jr. Nov. 21, 1938, in Glenwood Springs, Colo. He died Jan. 30, 2004.
She graduated from Canton High School in 1928.
She was an employee of Montezuma State Bank for 48 years.
She was a member of the Christian Church of Canton, and the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the American Legion Auxiliary, all of Montezuma.
She enjoyed visiting, bowling and attending horse races.
Survivors two nephews, Virgil Shrauner and wife, Judy, Sedgwick, and Garry Shrauner and wife, Shirley, Phoenix, and many relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Deanne Bindley, and two sisters, Marcelyn Oldfield and Loraine Johnson.
o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church of Montezuma with the Rev. Jerry Odle presiding.
Burial will be at the Fairview Cemeter in Montezuma.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Montezuma Funeral Home.
