ULYSSES – Larry Eugene Tyler, 70, died Sunday, April 25, 2010, at Bob Wilson Memorial Grant County Hospital in Ulysses.
He was born Nov. 23, 1939, to Oscar and Florence (Neel) Tyler in Ensign.
He married Carol Ann Hayden June 4, 1961, in Ulysses. She survives.
He was a supervisor at Williams Gas Plant in Ulysses.
He was a member of Shelton Memorial Christian Church.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and dogs, playing the guitar and singing, collecting John Deere toy tractors and antique tractor pulls.
He is also survived by one son, Todd Tyler and wife, Gina, Salina; one daughter, Brenda Kiehne and husband, Noel, Satanta, one brother, George “Marty” Tyler and wife, Susie, Dodge City; four sisters Beverly Helton, Gastonia, N.C., Kathleen Sabala and husband, Sam, Broken Arrow, Okla., Sharron Edworthy and husband, John, Houston, Texas and Jeanette Nuckles, Ensign; six grandchildren, Joel and Nevin Kiehne, Heath Merz, Tana, Andrew and Annie Tyler; and other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Bruce Eugene Tyler; one grandson, Tyler Foster Kiehne; one brother, Allen Tyler; and one sister, Charlene Mobley.
o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shelton Memorial Christian Church in Ulysses with Pastor Bill Harrold presiding.
Burial will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. at Grant County Funeral Home in Ulysses.
