HUGOTON – Marie Garmon, 89, died Thursday, May 6, 2010, at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal.
She was born July 15, 1920, to Matthew and Barbara Stegman in Offerle.
She married Ernest Clarence Garmon May 19, 1945, in Albuquerque, N.M. He died April 14, 1992.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church and the Red Hat Society, both of Hugoton.
Survivors include one son, Tim Garmon; one daughter, Lisa LeNeve and husband, Joe, Hugoton; one sister, Clementine Schmidt, Ulysses; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael Scott Garmon; two brothers, Anthony and Leo Stegman; and three sisters, Dorothy Stoops, Rose Herman and Irene Burns.
o Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Helen Catholic Church in Hugoton.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Helen Catholic Church in Hugoton with Father Pascal Klein presiding.
Burial will be at the Hugoton Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Paul’s Funeral Home.
