ATV collision sends Sublette teen to hospital PDF Print E-mail

A Sublette teen was transported to a Wichita hospital after the ATV he was driving struck another ATV Sunday north of Sublette.
Garrett D. Tatman, 16, was driving a 1990 Yamaha Raptor, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, when he hit a 2004 Polaris Predator driven by Brodie Don Blackburn, 18, also of Sublette. Blackburn had stopped to make a left turn near the junction of 90th Road and JJ Road 10 miles north and three miles west of Sublette.
Tatman’s ATV rolled after the collision, and Tatman was thrown from the vehicle. He was then transported to St. Francis Hospital in Wichita for treatment of his injuries, according to the report.
Blackburn was not injured in the mishap, and the KHP report noted neither teen was wearing a helmet.
