Buxton, Parks earn Tyrone’s top honors PDF Print E-mail

The Valedictorian of Tyrone High School’s Senior class of 2010 is Chaston Lee Buxton. He is the son of Marsh Mosburg and was born on March 2, 1992, in Austin, Texas.
He began attending Tyrone High School in 2005, and his cumulative Grade Point Average is 4.0 on a 4.0 grading scale.  
Buxton has participated in Student Council, Student Government, Science Club and was also elected to be the manager for the Lady Bobcats Basketball Team.  
Buxton plans to enlist in the United States Air Force after high school. Buxton’s long term goals include exploring the world and its cultures, trying to spread awareness for better treatment of animals and the environment and spending his life happily with a family.
The Salutatorian at Tyrone High School for 2010 is William Parks. He was born March 27, 1992, in Enid, Okla., to Steven and Brenda Parks. He has attended the Tyrone schools since 2001, Parks’ cumulative grade point average is a 3.98 on a 4.0 scale.  
Parks has participated in the following activities at Tyrone High School: Student Government, National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Band, Choir, Football, and Track.  He is a member of the Liberal First Church of the Nazarene and was a part of their Bible Quizzing Team.
Parks plans to attend Oklahoma Panhandle State University in the fall of 2010. He will be majoring in Animal Science and will be taking Pre-Veterinarian courses. His long term goal is to obtain his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree and either start or share a practice.
