• Special to the Daily Leader
Students new to U.S.D. 480 School District are no longer required to have a TB skin test prior to enrollment.
All required immunizations, follow-up boosters and physical exams must be completed before students will be admitted and allowed to attend school according to Kansas State Statutes 75-5209 and 72-5214 and U.S.D. 480 School Board Policy JGCB and JGC-R.
Students already attending school who are due for immunizations or physicals now or during the summer months will receive a notice from the school nurse stating what will need to be completed before the August enrollment.
The required immunizations and/or physicals need to be obtained over the summer at your child’s health care provider’s office or local health department.
For those who have questions during the summer months about a child’s immunizations, please contact the child’s health care provider or the Seward County Health Department.
