Obituary

Paul Mendenhall, 71, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City.

He was born Jan. 13, 1939, to Russell Forest and Thelma Agatha Starr Mendenhall in Liberal.

He attended school at Eureka Schools in Baker, Okla. He graduated high school with the Class of 1957.

He married Nancy Scott Aug. 10, 1957, in Clayton, N.M. She survives.

He worked for a gas company south of Turpin for one year and then moved to Wichita, where he attended Wichita Business College for two years. He worked for Hughes Tool for five years, Bovaird Supply in Liberal, and later managed Panhandle Supply for Sage Drilling for 10 years. He then worked for PAMCO which became Stewart & Stevenson retiring in April of 2005.

He was a member of the Baker United Methodist Church.

He was a part-time rancher.

Other survivors include two sons, Randy and wife Shannon, Edmond, Okla., and Mike and wife, Sheri, Duncan, Okla.; one daughter, Melinda Munger and husband, Thomas, Katy, Texas; one brother, Bruce Mendenhall and wife, Jan, Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren, Brett, Alyssa, Alysson and Trevor Mendenhall and Makenna, Gage and Cole Munger; and one sister-in-law, Joanne Mendenhall, Turpin;

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Duane Mendenhall.

o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Turpin United Methodist Church with the Rev. Todd Bergman presiding.

Burial will be at the Hooker Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Baker United Methodist Church and may be left at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, OK 73945.
