Larry Dean McCroskey, 42, died Monday, May 31, 2010, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.

He was born June 17, 1967, to Billy E. and Beverly (Ralston) McCroskey in Liberal.

He was a race car driver. He liked fishing, cooking out and enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his parents; his companion, DeAnna Applebee, Liberal; one brother, Richard McCroskey and wife, Donette, Mulven, Ark.; sisters, Sheila Keebler and husband, Gil, Janesville, Wis., and Ronda Cordoba and companion, Carlos Salazar, Liberal; grandfather, Vernon E. Ralston, Canal Fulton, Ohio; step-grandparents,  Glenn and Faye Allen, Argonia; stepbrother, Kipp Olson, Noble, Okla.; stepsisters, Angela Olson and companion, Keith Mouser, Liberal, and Shana Cobbs and husband, Bel, McKinney, Texas; nephews, Micheal McCroskey, Daniel Martin, Sean McCroskey, Chris McCroskey, Ty Harvey, Colby Olson, Kedrick Cobbs and Kaeden Cobbs; nieces, Klynna Mendez and husband, Frankie, Kala McCroskey and companion, Dontye Cohens, Veronica Pena and companion, Jeffery Calderon, and Aspin Harvey; great nephew, Ismael Calderon; and great nieces, Elizabeth Mendez, Amaya Cohens and Alli Mendez

He was preceded in death by grandmother, Wanda Ralston; grandparents, Wallace and Florance McCroskey; stepfather, Gary Kelly; stepmother, Sharon McCroskey; and great nieces, Katielyn and Krystal Mendez.

o Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Restlawn Cemetery, Liberal with the Rev. Mike Isaacs presiding.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday with the family present to greet friends from 6-8 p.m. at Kitch -Brenneman Funeral Home, Liberal.

Memorials are suggested to the Larry McCroskey Memorial Fund in care of Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. Second, Liberal, KS  67901.
