SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Jerry Lee Salley, 78, died Thursday, June 10, 2010, at his home in Nixa, Mo.
He was born May 31, 1931, to Hiram and Mozelle Salley in Liberal.
He attended Liberty School in Seward County and later graduated from Liberal High School.
He married Jo. She preceded him in death in 1993.
He married Rosie. She preceded him in death in 2002.
He married Leola. She survives.
He worked as a farmer with his father and also for Salley Tire and Feed. He started many businesses including Salley RV Center and Salley Feed Company.
He enjoyed four-wheeling, racing, and restoring classic cars.
He is also survived by three sons, Bill and wife, Emma Jean, Liberal, Craig, Denver and Bruce and wife, Theresa, Tulsa, Okla.; three daughters, Kay Owsley and husband, Larry, Edmond, Okla., Reenie Jackson, Liberal and Jeanie Whited and husband, Bill, Rochester Hills, Mich.; one stepdaughter, Michelle Turner and husband, Greg, Wichita; two nephews, Gregg Yocum and wife, Susan, Broken Arrow, Okla. and Neal Wade Yocum and wife, Angie, Oklahom City; 25 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Tim; and one granddaughter, Kim.
o Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Greenlawn Funeral Home East in Springfield, Mo.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Liberal.
