SUBLETTE – John Henry “Junior” Chaffin Jr., 84, died Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Satanta Long Term Care Unit.
He was born Nov. 10, 1925, to John Henry Sr. and Edith E. (Ogle) Chaffin in Moscow.
He married Betty Wallace Jan. 18, 1946, in Liberal. She survives.
He was a farmer.
He was a member of the Christian Church of Sublette.
Other survivors include two sons, Lynn Chaffin and wife, Marylin, Kinsley, and Victor Chaffin, Sublette; seven grandchildren, Aaron, Benjamin, John, Nicholas, Justin, Veronica and Ashley; eight great-grandchildren, Faith, Angel, Andru, Aidan, Ryleigh, Alec, Austin and Charlee; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Owen and Paul Chaffin; two sisters, Naomia Johston and Leona Morris; and one grandson, Andru Lee Chaffin.
o Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Christian Church of Sublette with Ministers David Erwin and Craig Atkinson presiding.
Burial will be at the Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Haskell County Funeral Home.
