BUCKLIN – Evain E. Brune, 85, died Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita.
He was born Nov. 10, 1924, to Oscar W. and Lydia Ruth (Gebhard) Brune in Kingman.
He graduated from Guymon High School in 1943 and Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Okla., in 1957 with a degree in Agronomy.
He married Minnie Scott May 31, 1949, in Guymon. She survives.
He worked as County Extension Agent for Soil Conservation. He served in the U.S. Army, a veteran of World War II, serving in Germany and the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Dodge City.
He is also survived by two brothers, Marcus Brune, Guymon, Okla. and Dall Brune, Ridgecrest, Cali.; three sisters, LaRue Kiser, Liberal, Phyllis Cripsen, Claremore, Okla. and Carolyn Blair, Tishamingo, Okla.
o Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Chapel in Liberal with Pastor Randall Janhke presiding.
Burial will follow at Liberal Cemetery with military honors.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Mortuary.
