BEAVER, Okla. – Bobby Dean Smith, 81, died Sunday, June 27, 2010.

He was born Dec. 8, 1928, to Walter E. and Florence (Peck) Smith in Beaver County, Okla.

He married Elsie Hancock Dec. 26, 1953, in Raton, N.M. She survives.

He served in the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He worked as a pumper in the gas industry until retirement.

He was a member of the Methodist Church.

He is also survived by two daughters, Sue Smith, Turpin, Okla. and Rhonda Hodges, Turpin; one brother, Ed Smith, Beaver; one sister, Dovie Smith, Enid, Okla.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Beaver United Methodist Church with Paul Hamilton presiding.

Burial will follow at Pioneer Cemetery in Beaver.
