Obituary

ELKHART – Gene W. “Tuney” Weatherman, 83, died Sunday, July 4, 2010, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.

He was born May 14, 1927, to James and Hazel (Languein) Weatherman in Eads, Colo.

He married Lois J. Brabb Aug. 4, 1947, in Raton, N.M. She survives.

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked at CIG as a well tender and dispatcher.

He was a member of the VFW Post No. 3162 in Elkhart.

He coached little league baseball, played golf, and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

He is also survived by two sons, Mike Weatherman and wife, Kathy, Sylvan Grove and Tom Weatherman and wife, Tina, Elkhart; two daughters, Judy Davis and husband, Mike, Dodge City and Trudy Kaup and husband, Tim, Colorado Springs, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Don Weatherman.

o Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Elkhart Cemetery with Pastor Jim Cunningham presiding and military rites with VFW Post No. 3162.
