Meade – Edith Lois Schlichting, 90, died  Friday, July 2, 2010, at Lone Tree Retirement Center in Meade.

She was born Oct. 25,1919, to Irving and Minnie Jones Overman in Burr Oak. 

She married Abe  Schlichting Aug. 19, 1939. He preceded her in death.

She attended school at Burr Oak and graduated from the Fowler High School. She was a homemaker.

She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and signing with the Golden Notes.

She is survived by two sons, Don Schlichting (Patricia), Meade, and Karl Schlichting,  Meade; one sister, Rachel Baker, Ashland; six grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Bobby; five brothers; and two sisters.

o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Emmanuel Mennonite Church with the Rev. Ken Harder presiding.

Burial will be at Minneola Cemetery.

Friends may call until 7 p.m. today and from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary.
