Danielle Mitchell, left, and Deanna Welch, both of Mesa, Ariz., pose while visiting the Coronado Museum and Dorothy’s House recently. The women are holding a poster saying, “Hi Brian,” who is in the Marines and stationed in Afghanistan. Brian is the boyfriend of Welch’s daughter, Sarah, who was unable to vacation with her mother and friend. The two women visited friends and family in north-central Kansas and were taking pictures of themselves and the poster at all their stops during their vacation in order to send them all to Brian, showing he was in their hearts while he is serving in active duty.
