HUGOTON – Marguerite Virginia Mitchell, 89, died Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Hugoton.
She was born July 5, 1921, to Charles Leo and Edith (Welch) Reynolds in DeWitt, Ill.
She married Glenn Mitchell March 17, 1945, in Hooker, Okla. He preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Hugoton.
Survivors include one son, Glenn H. Mitchell Jr., Ereka; five daughters, Dona Slocum and husband, Curt, Hugoton, Dorothy Wellinghoff and husband, John, Woodward, Okla., Sandra Cox and husband, Jerry, Hugoton, Linda Casebeer and husband, Darwin, Hugoton, and Lana Slocum, Hugoton; one brother, Jim Reynolds and wife, Meriel, Calhoun, Ill.; two sisters, Bonnie Bricker and husband, Alfred, Calhoun, and JoAnn Dunahee, Salem, Ill.; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Michael Kerbow, one granddaughter, Natalie Odell, and one son-in-law, George Slocum.
o Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Church of God in Hugoton with Minister Lanning Bollacker presiding.
Burial will be at the Hugoton Cemetery.
