GARDEN CITY – Clarence “Curt” Smith, 85, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.
He was born May 24, 1925, to Corelius and Marie (Koehn) Smith in Sublette.
He married Sarah Rose Smith Oct. 19, 1953, in Garden City. She survives.
He was a truck driver for Gardiner and Fairmont Dairies.
He was a member of the Church of God in Christ Mennonite in Cimarron.
Other survivors include three sons, David Smith and wife, Glenda, Garden City, Jerald Smith, Garden City, and Carl Smith, Palm Coast, Fla.; four daughters, Carolyn Smith, Garden City, Karla Smith, Garden City, Rose Gassett and husband, Doug, Perryton, Texas, and Shirley Blankenship and husband, Danny, Satanta; two brothers, William Smith and wife, Martha, Dodge City, and Andrew Clyde Smith, Cimarron; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in deaht by his parents; one son, Charles Smith; and one infant sister.
o Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the Church of God in Christ Mennonite in Cimarron with ministers Keith Ensz, Dallas Koehn and Curt Ensz presiding.
Burial will be at the Cimarron Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Haskell County Funeral Home and from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Church of God in Christ Mennonite in Cimarron.
