Lloyd “Jack” McClure, 84, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, at Satanta Long Term Care Unit.
He was born Jan. 18, 1926, to Harley and Carmen (Hunt) McClure in Oil Hill.
He married Patricia Newlon June 1944 in Emporia. She died Nov. 5, 1987.
He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II from 1943-47 and in the Korean War from 1950-52. He was a retired operation supervisor at National Helium in Liberal.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
He is survived by his one daughter, Judith Marshall and husband, Gerald, Sublette; two grandchildren, Diana Unruh and husband, Kelly, and Jack Marshall and wife, Joy; and three great-grandchildren, Bekah Unruh, Mason Unruh and Keegan Kelley
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, J.D. McClure.
o Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Janesville Cemetery in Hamilton with the Rev. Mark Demas presiding. Military honors will be given by the U. S. Navy.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home.
