MEADE – Patricia Jane Twyman Ohnick died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, at Meade District Hospital.
She was born to Porter and Jewel Twyman in Eva, Okla.
She married Mitcheal J. Ohnick April 15, 1952, on the Twyman’s family farm in Eva. He survives.
Shee worked part time for the Meade County Treasurer’s Office before moving into a full time position as office secretary to the Meade County Road Department. She retired in 2007. In 1990, the couple purchased the Cotton Wood Motel and RV park, and after a lot of work, the Circle O Motel and R V park was up and running and open for business.
She was a member of the Church Of The Nazarene in Meade for 43 years.
The couple started the Meade City Limits Jamboree.
Other survivors include three children, Rod and wife, Martha, Rhonda and husband, Rick Gillen, and Russell and wife, Karrie; grandson, Mitch, all of Meade; one brother, John Twyman, Boise City, Okla.; one sister, Iva Lee Palmer, Swansea, Ill., and Yvonne White, Nickerson; and many nieces, nephews and friends
Her father and mother preceded her in death.
o Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Nazarene, Meade, with the Rev. Ron Willard presiding.
Friends may call until 7 p.m. today at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
Burial will be at the Graceland Cemetery in Meade.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Nazarene Church’s building fund for front steps.
