The Lady Redskin freshmen fell to 1-1 Monday with a 34-15 loss to Dodge City.

The Lady Redskins struggled to score early, missing lay-ups and free throws. But Dodge City had its own problems on the offensive side as well. After the first quarter Dodge City had a 5-2 lead.

Dodge City got its offense moving in the second and third, but the Lady Redskins continued to struggle making baskets.

“Turnovers led to easy baskets and opened up a big lead for Dodge City,” Liberal coach Fred Kadow said.

Angela Aguilar and Sandra Gomez led the Lady Redskins with four points each.

Alexandria Brond led Liberal with four rebounds.

The Lady Redskins (1-1) will host Pratt Thursday before traveling to Perryton Friday to end the first semester.
