A red Pontiac sits in a wheat field just west of Liberal Friday morning following a one-vehicle accident about four-and-a-half miles west of Liberal on County Road 6. According to Capt. Rob Gant of the Seward County Sheriff’s office, the accident occurred when a female driver apparently lost control of her vehicle on a dirt road. The car was eastbound at the time of the wreck, but after two complete rolls, the car ended up facing west. The woman first walked away from the wreck but later complained of pains. Gant said the driver was then taken to Southwest Medical Center. “I don’t believe they were life threatening injuries, but I’m not for sure,” he said. The wreck is still under investigation, according to Gant. Daily Leader photos/Robert Pierce
