Obituary

Aline “Mandy” Johnson, 102, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal.

She was born May 15, 1908, to William B. and Mary S. Lauderback Wilgus in Beaver County, Okla.

She married Sam Johnson June 27, 1926, in Greenough, Okla. He died Dec. 31, 1982.

She attended Bellview Grade School and Forgan High School.

She was a member of the First Church of God, Liberal.

She enjoyed her family and  friends, her flowers and gardening, cooking and baking for others and reading, sewing and quilting.

She is survived by two granddaughters, Cindy Stroup, Roola, Mo., and Sudsy Smith, Springfield, Mo.; seven great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Bob and Don Johnson, four brothers and three sisters.

o Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Chapel with the Rev. Stanley Lehnert presiding.

Burial will be at the Liberal Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Liberal Good Samaritan Center in care of Miller Mortuary.
