BALKO, Okla. – Pete Milton Bartel, 83, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, in Oklahoma City.

He was born Dec. 2, 1926, to Menno and Julia (Penner) Bartel in Beaver County, Okla.

He married Delores Claybrook March 25, 1951, in Boyd, Okla. She survives.

He graduated from high school.

He served in the U.S. Army and was a farmer and rancher.

He was a member of the Balko, Okla., Community Faith Church.

He was a member of the IOOF.

Other survivors include one son, Kevin Bartel, Weatherford, Okla.; three daughters, Vicki Gardiner, Tuttle, Okla., Tony  Brown, Balko, and Julie Biebrich, Oklahoma City; one brother, Van Bartel, Balko; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.

o Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Balko Community Faith Church with Fred Huff and Jim Fox presiding.

Burial will be at the Balko Mennonite Cemetery.
