JOHNSON – Mary Margaret Dimitt Wilkerson, 90, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at Morton County Care Center in Elkhart.
She was born June 28, 1920, to William Thompson and Mary Adrian (Kane) Jones in Sherman County.
She married Victor Dimitt Oct. 6, 1940, in Liberal. He died in 1962.
She then married Myrl (Buck) Wilkerson March 17, 1979, in Johnson. He died in 1988.
She went to grade school in Big Bow and graduated from Johnson High School in 1938.
She worked at the extension office. She held the office of Stanton County clerk from 1965 to 1983.
She was the cooking and knitting project 4-H leader and member of the Busy Homemakers EHU.
She enjoyed knitting and reading.
Survivors include one son, Shannon Dimitt and wife, Karla, Johnson; one daughter, Barbara Dimitt, Wichita; one sister, Wilma Winger, Johnson; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Robert Victor Dimitt and William (Bill) Wesley Dimitt.
o Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Johnson with the Rev. Don Hasty presiding.
Burial will follow at the Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson.
