Emergency workers clean up following an accident Wednesday afternoon at Seventh and Western. Around 4:42 p.m., a 17-year-old female, according to Liberal Police Department Capt. Pat McClurg, was driving a green 1996 Ford Mustang northbound on Western, while a 68-year-old male was westbound on Seventh in a blue 1993 Dodge Caravan with a 63-year-old female passenger. McClurg said the Caravan pulled out in front of the Mustang. There were minor injuries in the accident, but McClurg said no one was transported to the hospital, as the injuries were from air bag deployment. The 68-year-old was cited for failure to yield.
