CIMARRON – Sharon Ann Smith, 68, died Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, at the Shepherd’s Center in Cimarron.
She was born June 28, 1942, to Cecil Raymond and Wilma Gertrude (Imel) Denton in Dodge City.
She married Bob Smith May 7, 1960, in Tucumcari, N.M. He survives.
She worked for Wal-Mart as a sales associate in Dodge City for several years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cimarron.
Other survivors include her mother; two sons, Larry Smith and wife, Amy, Dodge City, and David Smith and wife, Heather, Cimarron; one daughter, Wanda Renteria and husband, Juan, Dodge City; eight brothers, Duaine Denton and wife, Doris, Jetmore, Vernon Denton and wife, Crystal, Ingalls, Jack Denton and wife, Glatha, Dodge City, Clovis Denton and wife, Jeanette, Garden City, Ronald Denton and wife, Lois, Carthage, Mo., Donald Denton, Garden City, Robert Denton and wife, Audrey, Liberal, and Richard Denton and wife, Cheryl, Carthage; one sister, Darla Kopper and husband, Loren, Dodge City; six grandchildren, Tyler Woods, Austin Smith, Wyatt Smith, Mikayla Smith, Dakotah Smith and Danesha Smith; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, two daughters, Ronda and Melissa Smith, and one sister, Donna Faye Denton.
o Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday will be at the First Baptist Church in Cimarron with the Rev. Richard Deimund and the Rev. Dick Robins presiding.
Burial will be at the Cimarron Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Montezuma Funeral Home and from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church.
