MEADE – Craig Wayne Unruh, 39, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, in rural Osceola, Iowa, as the result of a motorcycle accident.
He was born May 27, 1971, to Richard “Dick” and Carol (Loewen) Unruh at Wasco, Calif.
He married Charla Regier Jan. 1, 1994, in Clinton, Okla. She survives.
As a young boy, he attended school in Meade, graduating from Meade High School in 1989. Upon his graduation, he attended Tabor College, graduating in 1993.
After his graduation, he returned to Meade and began farming with his father. In January, 2005, the couple purchased Back Room Printing in Meade and have been actively involved in many community events.
He was a member of Emmanuel Mennonite Church, Meade, serving as a worship leader, deacon, and Awana leader. He was the current president of the Meade Chamber of Commerce. He was involved with the Positive Pursuits and a member of the Friends of the Meade State Lake.
He is also survived by his parents; his children, Jonathan Unruh and Kiana Unruh, Meade; two brothers, Bryce Unruh, Erie, Colo., and Kory Unruh, Fairview, Okla.; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charles and Carol Regier, Corn, Okla.; and his brother-in-law, Chris Regier, Enid, Okla.
o Celebration of Life services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Meade High School Auditorium with the Rev. Ken Harder presiding.
Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Emmanuel Mennonite Church Cemetery in rural Meade.
Friends may sign the register book at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary in Meade.
Memorials are suggested to the Craig Unruh Children Education Fund in care of the funeral home.
