Bob C. Taylor, 67, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at Via Christi-St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita.

He was born Sept 29, 1942, to Noel and Marguerite (Cherry) Taylor.

He married Glenda K. Pepper May 18, 1966, in Lakin. She survives.

He graduated in 1959 from Deerfield High School. He earned his associates degree from Garden City Community College in 1961.

He was self-employed for many years, owning a typewriter service repair business. He then later became the service manager for Southern Office Supply retiring in 2008. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War from 1962-1966.

He was a member of the Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church, National Rifle Association and the Kansas Rifle Association.

Other survivors include three sons, Michael Taylor and wife, Marcy, Olathe, Mitchell Taylor and wife, Becky, Wichita, and Mark Taylor and wife, Roxann, Winfield; five brothers, Noel Taylor, Deerfield, Danny Taylor, Kellyville, Okla., David Taylor, Sapulpa, Okla., Randall Taylor, Kellyville, and Terry Taylor, Kellyville; two sisters, Mari Nordyke, Russell, and Nita Kay Mashburn, Tulsa, Okla.; seven grandchildren, Ryan Taylor; Conner Taylor; Zachary Taylor; Andrew Taylor; Kara Taylor; Hannah Andrews and Blake Andrews; and one great-grandchild, Paisley Walker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Allen Taylor, and one sister, Martha Farris.

o Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church with Bro. Wyatt Carpenter presiding.

Burial will be at Liberal Cemetery with military honors by the U.S. Navy.

Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday with the family present from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are suggested to American Stroke Association in care of Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. Second,  Liberal, KS 67901.
