Larry E. Witzke, 60, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.

He was born Aug. 16, 1950, in Liberal.

He married Deborah J. Carroll Oct. 6, 2007 in Liberal. She survives.

He graduated Liberal High School in 1966 and attended Kansas University.

He entered the US Army and served in Viet Nam as a paratrooper.

He worked in the oilfield several years and later drove truck for Groendyke Transport for 20 years.

He was a member of the NRA.

He loved to fish, hunt and work with wood.

Other survivors include, his mother, Ruth Witzke, Olathe; one daughter, Lacei Frechette, Dallas; two brothers, Rodney Witzke and Jimmy Witzke, Olathe; two sisters, Sharen Phomnyvongh, Amarillo, Texas; two grandsons, Jason and Nathan; and two special cousins, Eddie and Clinton Oyler, Liberal.

o Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, at  the Miller Chapel.

Burial will follow at the Liberal Cemetery with military honors.

Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. to service time Monday at the Miller Chapel.
