The Lady Saints put together a 31-2 season and finished ranked fourth in the nation, winning the regular season Jayhawk Conference championship and finishing second in the NJCAA Region VI tournament.
The Lady Saints just missed a chance to qualify for the national tournament a year ago, finishing second in the Region VI tournament, and this season, the Lady Saints have put together a solid season even after losing Oklahoma State signee Clitan de Sousa with a knee injury.
That effort has earned the Lady Saints an invitation to the NJCAA National Tournament that will start Monday in Lubbock, Texas.
The Lady Saints earned a No. 8 seed at the national tournament and received a bye in the first round.
The Lady Saints will play at 4 p.m. Tuesday against the winner of the No. 9 South Plains vs. No. 24 Monroe winner.
While that is good for the Lady Saints to start the tournament, their potential second round match-up would put the Lady Saints against the No. 1 seed Gulf Coast State should they win their second round game against the winner of the No. 16 San Jacinto vs. No. 17 Hartford game that takes place Monday.
