Obituary


ELKHART – Donna B. Schmiedeke, 62, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart. 

She was born June 14, 1954 to Elmer and Leona (Harris) Ball in Greensburg.

She married Herb Schmiedeke Aug. 4, 1986 at the First Church of God in Elkhart. He survives.  

She loved being around people, especially children.

She enjoyed crocheting and cooking.

Survivors also include sons, Dustin Boston, Alva, Oklahoma, and Tyler Boston, Woodward, Oklahoma; four brothers: Russell Ball, Allen Ball, Kenny Ball, and Larry Ball; and granddaughter, Makayla.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

• Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the First Church of God in Elkhart with Pastor Denny Huebner presiding. 

Memorials are suggested to the Donna Schmiedeke Memorial Fund or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 854, Elkhart, KS  67950.
